Ludovic Tézier is acknowledged as one of the world's sought-after baritones of our days. A guest at the world's leading opera stages, such as the Metropolitan Opera New York, the Vienna State Opera, the Opéra National de Paris, the Staatsoper Berlin, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, La Scala Milan, Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, the Liceu Barcelona, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Royal Opera House in London, the Bavarian State Opera Munich, as well as at the Salzburg Easter and Summer Festivals, the Savonlinna Opera Festival and the Arena di Verona Opera Festival.
Ludovic Tézier regularly collaborates with the internationally most renowned conductors, such as Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Antonio Pappano, Riccardo Muti, Riccardo Chailly, Philippe Jordan, Gustavo Dudamel, Daniele Rustioni, Michele Mariotti, Fabio Luisi and Cristian Macelaru just to name a few.

The French baritone gained reputation for his interpretation of the great Verdi roles such as Macbeth, Rigoletto, Simone Boccanegra, Renato (Un ballo in maschera), Ford (Falstaff), Germont (La Traviata) Posa (Don Carlo) and Don Carlo di Varga (La forza del destino), but his vast repertoire includes, among others, also the title roles Eugene Onegin as well as Conte (Le nozze di Figaro), Werther (baritone version), Yeletsky (Pique Dame), Wolfram (Tannhäuser), Scarpia (Tosca), Amfortas (Parsifal), Carlo Gérard (Andrea Chénier), Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) and Athanaël (Thaïs).
Highlights of the 2023-24 season include a new production of Rigoletto at the Teatro Real in Madrid as well as a new production of Tosca at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich.
Several CD and DVD recordings prove the artistic work of the successful and versatile singer. His first solo album of Verdi arias, released in February 2021 by Sony Classical, was highly acclaimed by the press. Together with tenor Jonas Kaufmann he recorded the album Insieme - Opera Duets, which has also been released by Sony Classical in October 2022.
He makes his debut at the Arena di Verona in 2022 in the role of Giorgio Germont in La Traviata.
In 2023 he sings three Verdi roles, Amonasro in Aida, Rigoletto in the opera of the same name and Giorgio Germont in La Traviata and participates in the Jonas Kaufmann gala in Opera - Arena 100.
In 2024 he returns in several roles at the 101st Arena di Verona Opera Festival: he is Amonasro in two different productions of Aida, and for the first time in Verona, Escamillo in Bizet's Carmen and Scarpia in Puccini's Tosca.
