Get ready for a dream summer! The 102nd Arena di Verona Opera Festival is getting closer: the biggest opera stars will soon be back to shine on the stage of the amphitheatre. Amazing voices, hotly-awaited returns, eye-catching debuts: who will you be coming to see?

First times

There is always a first time. Even for stars!

In 2025, at the Arena di Verona, Anna Netrebko will be Abigaille in Nabucco for the first time in Italy, while Marina Rebeka will perform Aida for the first time in Italy. Aleksandra Kurzak will make her debut as the protagonist in Aida next to Roberto Alagna.

Eagerly awaited debuts will be made by the American soprano Angel Blue and Samoan tenor Pene Pati, for the first time ever at the Arena, while soprano Erin Morley and tenor Enea Scala will make their stage debuts.

These are just some of the big stars of the upcoming summer at the Arena di Verona, which from 13 June to 6 September 2025 will feature five opera titles, eight gala concerts and ballets, for 51 evenings of entertainment.

Who will be on the podium of the Fondazione Arena Orchestra?

Pinchas Steinberg will return to the Arena twenty-five years after his debut; also back will be conductors Andrea Battistoni, Francesco Ivan Ciampa, Daniel Oren and Michele Spotti. Exciting debuts for Speranza Scappucci - her first opera - and Francesco Ommassini, who will be making his very first appearance at the Arena.
